Manuel Charr versus Christopher Lovejoy breakdown

This is a strange fight as Charr hasn’t fought since 2017 and Lovejoy has only fought one opponent with a winning record and even that fighter was beyond washed up.

The fight will have the WBA “regular” heavyweight world title on the line though in my opinion that doesn’t mean much at all as it’s very clear that neither of these fighters are the real world champions in the division.

Christopher Lovejoy

I think Manuel Charr will win this fight even with his long layoff due to just being all round better and also coming in at a good weight. Lovejoy came in at 300 pounds which is slightly heavier than he does normally but also much more than his last fight where he weighed in at 230 pounds. Charr should win by knockout in three or four rounds due to being better in every department and also the fact that Lovejoy hasn’t proven he can actually fight yet.

Michal Cieslak versus Yury Kashinsky breakdown

This is a good fight for Cieslak who is one of the most underrated fighters in the Cruiser weight division. Cieslak’s only loss came to current WBC world champion Ilunga Junior Makabu who is himself one of the best fighters in the division. Cieslak had to travel over to the Democratic republic of the Congo for the fight and conditions weren’t exactly comfortable for him as he was robbed in his hotel room before the fight.

Cieslak is 6,3 and has a long reach which he uses well. He’s technically good and puts his punches together very well. He also seems to have a very solid chin as Makabu is a massive puncher but wasn’t able to stop Cieslak.

Yury Kashinsky is a fairly basic fighter who has mostly fought at a level below world level and hasn’t looked great doing so. His defence isn’t great and while hes not terrible technically hes certainly not on Cieslak’s level.

Yury Kashinsky

I think Michal Cieslak will win this fight by knockout between rounds 9 and 12 due to being better technically and also having competed at world level before while Kashinsky hasn’t.

Jose Valenzuela versus Nelson Hampton breakdown

This is a decent learning fight for Valenzuela who is a good prospect in the lightweight division. Valenzuela has a good mix of power and technical skill. Nelson Hampton is 7-3 and has lost in most of his step up fights.

I think Valenzuela will win this fight by knockout due to having more power and being better technically.

Joshua Buatsi versus Daniel Blenda Dos Santos breakdown

I don’t think this will be a very competitive fight as Buatsi is one of the better prospects in the light heavyweight division and has beaten better opponents than Santos already. Santos has only fought three opponents with a positive record out of his 15 wins and even those opponents with winning records weren’t very good.

Daniel Blenda Dos Santos

I think Joshua Buatsi does everything better and in all honesty this is a mismatch that Buatsi should be beyond at this stage of his career.

Canelo stops Billy Joe Saunders in eight rounds

Canelo Alvarez put on a good performance and unified three belts in the super middleweight division by stopping Saunders at the end of the eighth round after Saunders retired in his corner due to an injury to his eye.

I expect Canelo to attempt to become undisputed soon at super middleweight as that seems to be his objective.

Frank Sanchez versus Nagy Aguilera breakdown

This isn’t a good fight at all as Frank Sanchez is clearly past this level of competition. Aguilera has had one fight since 2017 and is a journeyman at this point in his career.

Nagy Aguilera

I think Frank Sanchez will win this fight by knockout with six rounds due to actually being in his prime and being better technically. He also has more power and has been more active.

Kieron Conway versus Souleymane Cissokho breakdown

This is a good fight between two rising fringe contenders in the super welterweight division. Kieron Conway over the last few years has come out of nowhere and made a name for himself domestically in the UK while Cissokho has slowly been building up after a good amateur career.

Kieron Conway

I think Cissokho is better technically and probably has more power so he should be able to win this by decision. Conway does punch harder than his record suggests however.

Elwin Soto versus Katsunari Takayama breakdown

I honestly don’t think this is a great fight because Takayama is 37 and only just came out of retirement while Soto is a young fighter who’s shown power. Takayama has also taken this fight on three weeks notice.

Katsunari Takayama

Elwin Soto should have enough to win a decision over the faded Takayama though a late stoppage wouldn’t surprise me.

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez versus Billy Joe Saunders

This is a 3 belt unification at super middleweight between the best fighter on the planet and Billy Joe Saunders.

Canelo Alvarez is great technically and uses smart pressure to break down his opponents generally. He’s almost always in range but due to his great defence it’s very hard to hit him and he’ll counter as soon as his opponents slip up.

Billy Joe Saunders is a southpaw who’s also fairly good technically but unlike the southpaw’s that have given Canelo trouble in the past he isn’t slick. He’ll mostly be in range for the majority of the fight and rely on his reflexes to keep him out of trouble.

Billy Joe Saunders

I think Canelo will simply be too good for him as Saunders has in my opinion looked fairly bad as a super middleweight while Canelo seems to be in his prime and is putting together incredible performance after incredible performance.

Gadwin Rosa versus George Acosta breakdown

This is a good fight between two evenly matched fighters who are trying to rise up the ranks. Gadwin Rosa is 11-1 with 9 knockouts and is a fairly big puncher. George Acosta doesn’t have much power but is fairly good technically.

Gadwin Rosa

I think this fight really could go either way as while Rosa has more power I don’t think hes as technically good and hasn’t fought since 2019. I think George Acosta will likely box his way to a ten round decision.
