Bradley Rea versus Lee Cutler breakdown

This is a good fight between two unbeaten middleweights who want to become regular TV fighters. Bradley Rea is tall for a middleweight and fights similarly to Callum Smith. He works to the body well and tucks up when his opponents punch but rarely moves his head. He had a good amateur background and is clearly good fundamentally. Lee Cutler has almost no footage online but he is the smaller man in this match up and doesn’t seem as technically good though judging from his record punches hard.

Lee Cutler

Bradley Rea will win a decision after eight rounds due to being the bigger man who is technically better in my opinion.

Joe Cordina versus Faroukh Kourbanov breakdown

This isn’t a good fight though its sort of understandable given how long Cordina has been out the ring. Cordina is a good prospect in the Super Featherweight division who is looking to get a world title shot either later this year or early next year. Kourbanov is really a domestic level fighter in my opinion.

Faroukh Kourbanov

I think Joe Cordina will win by stoppage because hes better technically and also has a lot more power as Kourbanov can’t punch at all. I think this is a fairly big mismatch and just hope that Cordina starts to get good opponent soon to advance his career.

Anthony Fowler versus Jorge Fortea breakdown

This is a very good fight between 2016 Olympian Anthony Fowler and European operator Fortea. Anthony Fowler has done well as a pro since his close loss to Scott Fitzgerald and is now looking to advance up the levels from domestic to European. Jorge Fortea recently fought in a world title eliminator where he was soundly beaten but went the distance. He’ll be looking to establish himself down at European level again in this fight.

Anthony Fowler is the bigger puncher of the two and if he sticks to his jab the better boxer. Fortea is awkward and is decent technically though doesn’t possess that much power.

Jorge Fortea

I see this fight going similarly to Fortea’s last fight where he boxed decently off the back foot but his opponent landed the bigger punches and pushed the action. Anthony Fowler will press forward using his jab and working to the body while Fortea makes it annoying for him before losing a fairly wide decision.

Chris Billam-Smith versus Vasil Ducar breakdown

This is a good fight between Smith who is currently a domestic level Cruiser weight and Ducar who has fought a lot of good fighters on the road and tested them all.

Both of these fighters have fight changing power though Smith is generally a bit better at landing it. Ducar has faced the better competition and fared decently well which gives him a lot of experience coming into this fight. Chris Billam-Smith is the home fighter and has had a full training camp while Ducar has come in on short notice which may make a difference. I think skill wise they are fairly similar.

Vasil Ducar

I think this fight will end in a knockout but I honestly can’t predict with certainty who will win. I lean towards Billam-Smith because hes had the longer training camp and should be more prepared.

Lawrence Okolie versus Krzysztof Glowacki breakdown

This is an excellent fight in the Cruiserweight division for the vacant WBO world title. Lawrence Okolie has been steadily progressing since 2017 when he turned pro after a short amateur career which saw him compete in the 2016 Olympic games after only a few years of boxing. Krzysztof Glowacki has been a world champion twice in a 12 year long career. He’s fought a very good level of competition and has only lost twice with one of those losses being controversial.

Lawrence Okolie has a horrible style to fight and often to watch. He’ll stay on the outside and throw a few punches then when his opponents try and get on the inside he’ll grab hold of them and wait for the ref to break them up. He’s been heavily criticized for this and has been working on not clinching so often though this fight will be the big test too see if his style has changed. He’s got a lot of power and is huge for the weight which sees him tower over almost any other Cruiser weight.

Krzysztof Glowacki throws punches from awkward angles and is a world class southpaw which isn’t something Okolie would have seen before. He has respectable power and is fairly technically sound. He may be slightly past his best at this point due to his age and also how long hes been out of the ring. He hasn’t fought for almost two years and in his last fight was badly knocked out after taking an illegal elbow to the face.

Krzysztof Glowacki

I think Lawrence Okolie will win by stoppage due to catching Glowacki coming in early when hes not warmed up. I think the ring rust will effect Glowacki badly. Okolie has a style which Glowacki hasn’t seen before and while its an ugly style it is an effective one due to his size.

Maxi Hughes versus Paul Hyland Jnr breakdown

This is a good fight between two domestic fighters for the British title over twelve rounds. Maxi Hughes is on a great run right now and has scored two upsets in a row. Paul Hyland Jnr lost in a fight for the European title in his last time out and is now going back down to British level. Hughes isn’t a big puncher at all which is a shame for him as Hyland Jnr doesn’t have a great chin and its his main weakness honestly.

Paul Hyland Jnr

I think Maxi Hughes will win a decision after twelve rounds due to being a much improved fighter who has shown skill and timing in his recent fights.

Karim Guerfi versus Lee McGregor breakdown

This is an excellent fight between fast rising Lee McGregor and European operator Karim Guerfi. I think this fight will certainly be competitive but I think McGregor’s youth and size will help him out a lot in this fight. I think McGregor has the power advantage as well and may be better technically.

Karim Guerfi

I think Lee McGregor will win this fight by late stoppage due to being the naturally bigger man who has more power. He’s on the rise while Guerfi has been operating around European level for a while and is looking for another step up to world level soon. I think McGregor is at least European level and may get to world level so I expect him to win this fight.

Braian Nahuel Suarez versus Jesus Aviles breakdown

This should be a fight that Suarez wins comfortably. Suarez is 13-0 with 12 knockouts while Jesus Aviles is 9-3 with two knockouts. Suarez has fought as high as Cruiserweight while Aviles has fought as low as Super Lightweight.

I think Suarez should win this fight due to being the much bigger and more powerful fighter. I honestly don’t think this fight should have been sanctioned considering how much of a mismatch it is.

Edwin Valentin versus Hector Marengo breakdown

Edwin Valentin is a good prospect who is 9-0 but has been inactive since 2019. Hector Marengo is a journeyman who hasn’t fought since 2018.

I personally can’t see this fight going beyond three rounds as I fully expect Edwin Valentin to win by knockout. Hector Marengo hasn’t won since 2014 and is coming out of retirement for this fight so I don’t think he’ll be very motivated to win.

Maricela Cornejo versus Alma Ibarra breakdown

This is a decent fight though one where I see a clear favorite. Maricela Cornejo has had two fights with Franchon Crews who is a world champion and while she didn’t win she was competitive. Alma Ibarra also fought for a world title though wasn’t all that competitive. The biggest difference in this fight is that Cornejo is a natural Super Middleweight and has fought at the weight class for a long time while Ibarra is a natural Super Welterweight who has fought as low as Welterweight in the past. This will be Ibarra’s first time fighting at Super Middleweight and her first time fighting above Super Welterweight.

Alma Ibarra

I expect Maricela Cornejo to win by decision due to being the bigger more experienced fighter. Ibarra might win a round or two but will end up being to small in the end.
