Kenshiro Teraji versus Pedro Guevara : A review

I’m going to start doing more fight reviews due to the lack of boxing going on. I thought I’d start with a fight I recently watched and thought was interesting. The first four rounds saw some back and forth action with Teraji being out worked and countered by Guevara for the most point. Guevara reallyContinue reading “Kenshiro Teraji versus Pedro Guevara : A review”

Kevin Lerena the dark horse of the cruiserweight division.

Kevin Lerena is a 25-1 Cruiser-weight from South Africa who has been making steady defenses of his IBO Cruiser-weight title since 2017. Hes also a southpaw which may make many hesitate to fight him. In the last two years hes emerged as a top 10 Cruiserweight and could have a big impact on the divisionContinue reading “Kevin Lerena the dark horse of the cruiserweight division.”

Fres Oquendo still ranked 15th by the WBA at heavyweight.

Oquendo despite not fighting since 2014 is still ranked by the WBA at heavyweight which seems completely insane. The reason he is still ranked is because legally he has the right for a world title shot. For one reason or another he still hasn’t gotten the money or his title shot as the WBA orderedContinue reading “Fres Oquendo still ranked 15th by the WBA at heavyweight.”

Fighters that will benefit from this break.

While this break from boxing will not help a lot of boxers for certain ones this could be a hidden blessing. Its been a few weeks now and i’m sure that a lot of people have exhausted most of the great old fights and are now wondering what to do. What divisions should the WBSS choose for season 3?

The WBSS has almost wrapped up its second season with only the Cruiserweight final needing to take place. This would have already happened but like with most things was cancelled due to the Corona Virus. I’m a big fan of the world boxing super series as it always brings us great fights and often shinesContinue reading “What divisions should the WBSS choose for season 3?”

Competitive first fights where the rematch was one sided.

Normally when a fight is competitive the first time then the second will also be but in these cases they were utterly one sided. First up is Emanuel Navarrete versus Isaac Dogboe. The first fight was still a clear win for Navarrete but Dogboe was atleast a bit competitive while in the rematch he wasContinue reading “Competitive first fights where the rematch was one sided.”

Who currently has the most title defenses among active champions.

This is about who has the most defences of a title they currently hold and doesn’t count it as the same reign when people go up in weight. I’m going to talk about a few names before getting to the person who has the most and if you’ve read my stuff before then you probablyContinue reading “Who currently has the most title defenses among active champions.”
