Michael Magnesi versus Khanyile Bulana breakdown

This is a nice fight between two unbeaten super featherweights who aren’t very well known. The fight is scheduled for twelve rounds for the IBO world title. While I don’t regard it as a real world title it can be used as a good stepping stone towards one of the main four belts.

Michael Magnesi is a come forward fighter who applies good pressure and has respectable power. He has decent timing and a good variety of punches. He goes to both the body and head with a focus on body work when his opponents get pushed to the ropes. He could cut the ring off better and could string his combinations together more fluidly but these aren’t massive problems at the level hes fighting at.

Khanyile Bulana has a very wide stance where he leans on his back foot while in a sort of half philly shell. He doesn’t throw a lot of punches and they don’t seem to have much snap on them at all. He doesn’t rush his work which is good but he is too passive for my liking.

Khanyile Bulana

I think Michael Magnesi will be able to push Khanyile Bulana back consistently and land big punches because Bulana doesn’t have any power on his punches and doesn’t throw enough. I think his wide stance will lead him awkwardly against the ropes where Magnesi will take advantage and stop him within seven or eight rounds after wearing him down for a while.

Ryan Rozicki versus Sylvera Louis breakdown

This shouldn’t be that good of a fight as Rozicki is a young cruiser weight with a lot of power while Louis is 38 and is very washed up at this point of his career. Rozicki is 12-0 with 12 knockouts while Louis is 8-6 with four knockouts.

Louis retired in 2016 but came back earlier this year and lost in quick fashion against Oscar Rivas. He really didn’t look good in that fight and was retired on his stool after three rounds.

Sylvera Louis

I think Ryan Rozicki will win by knockout very early due to being in his prime and having much more power.

Brock Jarvis versus Nort Beauchamp breakdown

This should be a fairly easy fight for Brock Jarvis in my opinion. Jarvis is 18-0 and one of the better featherweight prospects in my opinion though this fight is being contested at super featherweight. Nort Beauchamp is 18-3 with 3 knockouts and just lost to a fighter who was 1-0 in his last fight. While the fighter who was 1-0 was a good amateur I still don’t think its a good sign for Beauchamp that he’s losing fights like that.

Nort Beauchamp

I think Brock Jarvis should win this fight by stoppage and become the first man to stop Beauchamp. There is a huge power and speed advantage for Jarvis in my opinion and this will make the difference in the fight.

Issac Hardman versus Mark Lucas breakdown

This is a good fight between two domestic Australian middleweights who are looking to progress towards the top of the domestic ladder. Issac Hardman struggled a lot in his last fight but was still able to win and will learn a lot from a hard fight. Mark Lucas came back with a win after back to back losses in his last fight but hasn’t fought for over a year.

Issac Hardman is an aggressive fighter who throws a lot of punches but doesn’t have a great defence. He clearly has some power but needs to set it up a little bit more.

Mark Lucas is a decent technical boxer but doesn’t have much power. He also hasn’t fought for over a year and will probably struggle with the lay off especially with how aggressive Issac Hardman is.

Mark Lucas

I think Issac Hardman will win by stoppage in round eight or nine due to his volume of punches and power combined with Lucas’s long lay off.

Deiner Berrio versus Juan Pablo Romero breakdown

This is a great 50/50 fight between two guys that wouldn’t normally get an opportunity on television. Deiner Berrio is a fairly good fighter who has been competitive versus two good Russian Lightweights in Zaur Abdullaev and Pavel Malikov. Juan Pablo Romero is undefeated at 13-0 but hasn’t faced the opposition that Romero has.

Deiner Berrio

I think this will be a war where both fighters land a lot of punches but in the end I think Romero’s height and reach advantages will pay off and he’ll win a decision.

Bobirzhan Mominov versus Angel Ruiz breakdown

I think this is an excellent match up as Mominov is slowly progressing up the Welterweight ranks while Ruiz attempts to get his career back on track after a KO loss.

I think these two are fairly even in terms of power and skill though Ruiz hasn’t fought for over a year while Mominov has been active.

Angel Ruiz

I think this will be a close fight especially over eight rounds and I think it likely ends in a draw though if Mominov stuns and KO’s the rusty Ruiz early I wouldn’t be surprised.

Christian Mbilli versus Jesus Antonio Gutierrez Velazquez breakdown

This should be a good workout for Christian Mbilli who is one of the best prospects in the super middleweight division. Mbilli is 17-0 with 16 knockouts while Velazquez is 27-4-2 with 14 knockouts.

Jesus Antonio Gutierrez Velazquez

Christian Mbilli is both better technically and has more power so Velazquez will struggle to win this one. I think Mbilli will win by knockout within five or six rounds due to his power.

Jalan Walker versus Angel Antonio Contreras breakdown

This is a good step up fight for Jalan Walker who is a underrated prospect at 8-0. Angel Antonio Contreras is 11-4-1 but has faced a good level of opposition and showed hes a decent fighter.

Jalan Walker is a good technical southpaw who seems to possess good power while Contreras is a fairly basic come forward fighter.

Angel Antonio Contreras

I expect Jalan Walker to win by knockout in three or four rounds due to having more power and being better technically.

Jelena Mrdjenovich versus Erika Cruz Hernandez breakdown

This is a good fight between two Women featherweights for a world title. Jelena Mrdjenovich has been a world champion for a while but hasn’t looked great recently and is getting on in age. Erika Cruz Hernandez is younger and a southpaw which should give Mrdjenovich trouble.

Erika Cruz Hernandez

I think Hernandez will pull off the upset because I think Mrdjenovich is starting to slip and facing a motivated come forward southpaw isn’t a great match up for her. Hernandez will take a decision win.
