This should be a fairly easy fight for Gonzalez who is a huge puncher with a good amateur background. Mendez is a journeyman at this point who has lost his last four fights in a row and hasn’t picked up a win since 2013.
I expect Johan Gonzalez to win by knockout within five or six rounds due to being the bigger puncher and also actually having won in the last seven years.
