Cesar Mateo Tapia versus Renold Quinlan breakdown

I don’t get the point of this fight in all honesty as Tapia has already beaten Quinlan and should really be looking ahead rather than at a rematch with a fighter coming off five losses in a row.

Renold Quinlan

While Quinlan isn’t a bad fighter I personally think Tapia will win again due to being better all round.

Tim Tszyu versus Dennis Hogan breakdown

This is a good fight between two top Super Welterweights. Tim Tszyu is on the rise at 17-0 with 13 knockouts while Dennis Hogan is 28-3-1 with seven knockouts.

Tim Tszyu is the younger fresher fighter who’s on a good run right now. He’s got good skills and a solid level of power. Dennis Hogan has decent skills but very little power and is coming off of two losses.

Dennis Hogan

I think Tim Tszyu will win by knockout in the second half of the fight.

Alberto Ezequiel Melian versus Frency Fortunato turns into an all time war

When I was looking at this on paper I thought Melian would lose decisively because he was moving up in weight and I was right to an extent. Fortunato knocked Melian down four times in the first five rounds before Melian came on strong late and dropped Fortunato three times and secured himself the victory by way of decision. It’s probably the best or second best fight of the weekend and a very enjoyable watch if you can find it.

Louie Lynn versus Sebastian Perez breakdown

While on paper this is a step up it should be a very comfortable stoppage win for Lynn due to being the much bigger man with more power. Perez is a bantamweight moving up to featherweight where he has little chance of winning. Perez had no power at Bantamweight so he certainly won’t have any at featherweight.

I expect Lynn to win by knockout in four rounds due to being bigger with more power combined with an aggressive style.

Nathan Gorman versus Pavel Sour breakdown

This is a tune up fight for Nathan Gorman who has proved hes levels above a fighter like Pavel Sour. In recent times Sour has become a fighter that gets used to boost a fighters confidence and beating him doesn’t mean all that much but it is a small notch in a fighters belt just because of the other prospects that have beaten Sour. He’s slow isn’t a big puncher and on the wrong end of 35.

Nathan Gorman should win this fight comfortably and continue his rebuilding after losing to Daniel Dubois. If he doesn’t win by KO I would be slightly worried about his future.

Willy Hutchinson versus Lennox Clarke breakdown

This is a good fight for the vacant British and Commonwealth Super Middleweight titles. Willy Hutchinson is a prospect who in recent fights has started to look like he has potential while Clarke is a decent domestic fighter with only one loss.

Lennox Clarke

I think Willy Hutchinson is better technically and has more power which should lead him to a points victory over the smaller Clarke.

Youssef Khoumari versus Kane Baker breakdown

This is a good test for Khoumari who is 11-0-1 with four knockouts. Kane Baker is 14-7 with zero knockouts but is a good test for prospects. Khoumari is better technically but Baker has faced the better competition and won’t stop coming the entire fight.

Kane Baker

I think Youssef Khoumari will likely do enough to win a decision however if Kane Baker outworks him especially late on I wouldn’t be surprised.

Erik Pfeifer versus Nick Webb breakdown

This is actually a good fight as while Pfeifer was a good amateur he hasn’t been as impressive as a pro yet. Nick Webb is a domestic fighter in the UK who has been stopped by far worse fighters than Pfeifer but has had a bit of a career resurgence recently.

Nick Webb

I still think Erik Pfeifer will win by knockout due to being fundamentally better and also having good sparring recently versus Dillian Whyte.

Chris Kongo versus Michael McKinson breakdown

This is an excellent fight between two undefeated Welterweights who are opposite in styles to an extent. Chris Kongo is a good boxer who has fight ending power while McKinson doesn’t have a lot of power but is good at boxing and moving.

Michael McKinson

I think this will be a very competitive fight where either could win though I do lean towards Kongo due to having a major power advantage. McKinson could win by making it awkward due to his boxing skills and being a southpaw though.
