This is a good evenly matched fight in my opinion. Cherneka Johnson is taking the first big step up of her career after performing well versus all the opponents she has faced so far. Shannon O’Connell is continuing the long and successful career shes had.
I think this is a battle between Johnson who is the fresher fighter and O’Connell who has huge amounts of experience but may not be in the prime of her career anymore. I think O’Connell likely has the power advantage and has fought recently so won’t have any rust. I personally feel she’ll be able to do enough to win a competitive decision after ten rounds but because of the closeness of the fight a Johnson win wouldn’t surprise me that much.
