Today on an MTK card in Brentwood Kaisee Benjamin upset the odds and won a 10 round decision over Shaquille Day. Going into the bout Benjamin was 4/1 to win but ultimately prevailed on referee Lee Cooks scorecard of 97-94. I’m glad they gave Kaisee the decision because often when a fighter travels to their opponents back yard they get robbed and i’m glad too see it wasn’t the case here. Kaisee also deserves credit for being willing to go in as the away fighter to progress up the professional ladder and as someone from the midlands its always good too see local boxers do well. I think the fight was an eliminator for the English title so I expect that is the fight we will see Kaisee in next.
